CRICKET
Our Inglewood correspondent writes:— The Inglewood pitch was very fierv on Thursday afternoon, which was to a certain extent responsible for the heavy scoring. Clegg's 80 was a fine performance, as he gave only one chance, at 67. He gave an exhibition of cricket which has not been equalled in Inglewood for some time, and it is a pitv that he was unable to complete his innings. The following are the bowling analysis:—lnglewood: Gudgeon none for 25. Kinsella two for 24, J. Harris none for 14, Billing one for 8, Sutherland one for 6; Urenui: Blundell one for 37, Fawsett none for 17, Hall none for 27, Wm. Fuller two for 04, "Boss" Fuller one for 13, O'Connell one for 8.
E. Harris succeeded in capturing seven wickets for 30 against the Carrington Road juniors.
