THE -MOUNT LYELL COMPANY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, November 11. The half-yearly report of the Mount Lye.ll Company shows net profits of £90,000, a decrease of £25,000 compared with the. last half-year. This is due to the lower average rate for copper and the falling-off in the grade of the ore in several of the leading stopes. This is officially believed to be only temporary. Dividend and bonus distributions have totalled £105.0000, and the surplus liquid assets are £425,420. The monthly return shows that from October 6 to November 2 the company treated 26,067 tons of ore and the 4 L-rs produced 547 tons of Mister crpper, cont.ainmr- 540 tons of copper, 40.355 ounces of silver, I and GOO ounces of gold.
