* • MEMBERS NEED FLOGGING INTO ACTION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, November 10. Foub hundred and thirty-three delegates of the Trades.' Union Congress, the General Federation of Trade Unions, and the Labor Party are holding a conference at Westminster.
Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald moved a resolution demanding that the immediate reversal of the Osborne verdict should be made a test question at every election. Mr. Smellie, on behalf of the Miners' Federation, moved to delete the words "made a test question." This was rejected.
The chairman stated that the London Compositors' Union contained a large percentage of indifferent members who needed to be flogged into action.
The original resolution was carried with one dissentient.
The Manchester Guardian states that cotton operatives in Lancashire are divided over the Osborne judgment. A fair percentage are indifferent.
The Blackbun Weavers' Association resolved by a very large majority in favor of nc taking steps to reverse the judgment.
