(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the meeting of the School Committee on Monday evening, the master's report showed an attendance of 295. He called attention to the necessity for repainting the school. It was resolved to refer the suggestion to the Board. It was decided to take out an accident policy. The Waitara Road Factory returns for August show that 076,054 pounds of milk were received, which is an increase of 120,466 as against October 1900, in addition to which several are supplying cream. The increase in butter-fat was i 52 lb., whilst butter increased from 5,023 lb. to 30,703 lb., an increase of > ton 3 cwt. 24 lb. There are now 53 ' " ippliers, as against 47 last year. .i.\venty-six boxes of butter are being 1 made daily, which is four in excess of the amount made during the flush of the season last year, Suppliers received . .-C1154 4s 2d for milk, as against £836 13s 3d for the same month last year, ; an increase of £317 10s lid. ! The North Taranaki Dairy Company i. received 849.221 lb. milk for October, as I
received iu. iihik iui uliuuci, us against 624,062 lb. for October 1909, an increase of 322.559 lb., in addition to which several shareholders are supplying cream. The butter-fat increased by 8954 lb., whilst butter increased from 27,131 lb. to 38,251 lb., an increase of 5 tons 3% cwt. Last year the highest make in the flush of the season was 21 boxes, but already this season 28 are being manufactured. There are now 52 suppliers, an increase of 16 during the year, and there were ten more last year "than in 1908. Suppliers receive for their month's milk £1383 10s 6d, as against £9OO Os Od for October 1909, an increase of £423 10s. The annual examination of the school children is set down for Monday next. Applications for water connections are rolli"g in very steadily, about 40 having been received so far. The pressure is being well maintained now, and nc further difficulties are anticipated.
