FIRES
A STORE DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Monday. Rankin and Co.'s grain and produce store and Knapp's bicycle shop at Motueka were destroyed by lire this morning. Rankin's main building was saved by a brick wall, and other buildings were saved by a bucket brigade. Knapp saved most of his stock. •Insurances were:' Rankin and Co., £2ooin the New Office (loss is estimated at £1000); Knapps' bicycle shop, £IOOO, and tinsmith's shop £OO, both in the New Zealand Office.
