According to to-day's Manchester Guardian Persia resents Earl Grey's continuous attempt to prevent the floating of her loan of £1,200,000 through Messrs. Serigman, of Teheran, and his further endeavor, for purely political reasons, to compel the loan through the Imperial Bank of Persia on terms which she regards inconsistent with political and financial independence. A SHEIKH CAPTURED. Received 8, 1.10 a.m. Teheran, November 7. The sloop Odin, at Lingah, captured the Sheikh of Mazkurs and three dhows, with loot aboard, which was restored to the owners in raided villages. A body of Baluehis is marching on Kerman.
