AMUSEMENTS.

"DOROTHY." It seems hardly necessary to remind our readers of the production of "Dorothy" at the Theatre Royal this evening. Complete arrangements have been made, and there is every promise of a full house. It would be well to state that the curtain rises at 7.45 sharp, and that the audience are requested to be in their seats by that time. The booking is excellent, and early application is necessary to-day for the* few remaining seats. Tickets for stalls and pit are now on sale at Collier's. Doors open at 7.15 p.m. ■

PICTUREDRAMA. The picturedrama which, under the direction of Messrs. John Fuller and Co. and the Taylor-Carrington combination showed at the Theatre Royal last night, satisfied a large audience. The second part of the programme consisted of thu picturedrama of Marcus Clarke's famous work, "For the Term of His Natunu Life." The events, which were pictured with extraordinary vividness and faithfulness, aroused intense interest, and the development of one of the saddest chapters in written history was peculiarly explanatory and wholly satisfactory. 'Those who have read the moving story are able to better appreciate the work of the author having seen tile pictured story, and those who have not read it will read it after having their .interest aroused in it by the faithful picture record. In the selection of the first part of the show attention has been given to variety and value. The arrangement, too. is good, the dramatic records alternating with the wildly humorous, followed by wonderful • pictures of industries and charming panorannas or tl«o earth's loveliest spots. During the !>'■ '■ aredrama Mr. Charles Taylor gave ii 'miatic exposition of the moving •*' H't. anil this admirable feature hi. nod the general success in no small wav.
