WANGANUI BAND'S HOME-COMING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Nisht. Considerable interest is being taken in Auckland in the home-coming of the Wanganni Band, the champion band of Australasia. Nearly two hundred bandsmen will take part in the welcome proceedings on the arrival of the Sydney boat on Sunday. The victorious bandsmen will be escorted throusrh the city. In the af'-rnoon they will play on the Takap ;aa racecourse, and in the evening w. 1 give a sacred concert. An official reception to the band will take place in Albert Park on Monday afternoon. Mr. Baghall (Mayor of Auckland) will deliver an address, after which several selections, including the test piece played at the Ballarat contest, will be rendered by the band.
