THE BULLFINCH GOLDFIELD
THE RUSH INCREASES. "LIFE ON A CIVILISED BASIS." By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, Sydney, November 2.
Professor David expresses the opinion that the Bullfinch find is similar to those at Coolgardie and Boulder, and thinks there is every probability that many valuable deposits will yet be found ■within the area. Perth, November 2. The Bullfinch mine has been floated as a company in London with a capital of £500,000. The rush to secure mining properties throughout the length and breadth of the field is increasing rather than abating. During fifteen days 300 applications have been received at the registry office. Many of these are for long abandoned mines which are now considered worth thorough testing. Bullfinch has grown into a typical mining township. Within a few weeks large stores, dining rooms and other conveniences have been erected and are being erected. A progress committee has been formed, and is taking steps to put life on a civilised basis. The Government is pressed to extend the railway and water supply to the field.
