SUPREME COURT
♦ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. In the Supreme Court to-day the Chief Justice sentenced the following prisoners:—Harry Neil, charged with theft of a dog, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Te Kara Tokaiwa, for breaking and entering and theft, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment. In the case against Roger Ernest Powell ■, and Raymond Saunders, who had pleaded guilty to forgery and uttering ai Post Office Savings Bank withdrawal receipt, Powell was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment in luvereargill Gaol, and Saunders was admitted to' probation for twelve months.
