The Lebaudy dirigible airship made a 2 1 ,4-hours' flight with eight passengers, circling round Nantes Cathedral. The Minister of "War has appointed a permanent inspector of military aeronautics. INTERNATIONAL AVIATION MEET. AN UNEVENTFUL DAY. Received 24, 10.40 p.m. New York, October 24. There were no flights, and 7500 spectators at the second day of the International Aviation Meet at Belmont Park, Long Island, were disappointed. The wind was so strong that only two aviators, Grahame White and Moissant, dared to ascend. Both came to grief, though without personal injuries.
