BOARDIXG-HOUSE BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wairoa, Saturday. A boarding-house, formerly the Clevedon Hotel, was destroyed by fire with its contents last night. The occupants, Mr. Merrick, his wife and child, and boarders, aroused by a servant who discovered' the outbreak in the billiard room, escaped in night attire. The house was owned by Hancock and Co., and was insured for £GOO in the Commercial Union.
