"PASSING OF THE THIRD FLOOR BACK." The Plimmer-Denniston Company will present to-night Jerome Iv. Jerome's remarkable play, "The Passing of the Third Floor Back." The identity of the 1 mysterious stranger will no doubt be the subject of a great deal of conjecture here, 1 as it was in London, New York and Sydney. Who is he? Where does he come from? are questions which have caused much controversy amongst clergy and laity. The role of the stranger will be taken by Mr. Harry Plimmer, and the other members of the company, including Mrs. Robt. Brougli. Miss Lizette Parkes and Mr. Reynolds Denniston, are all seen to the best best advantage in good parts. The play has been a great success wherever produced. N.Z. HERALD, AUCKLAND 10/10/10. His Majesty's Theatre was packed to its utmost capacity last night by an en thusiastie audience to witness the last performance of "The Passing of the Third Floor Back," and to say "an revoir" to the Plimmer-Denniston Company, who leave for the South to-day. At the final curtain, in response to the demands of the audience. Mr. Harry Plinimer made a short, speech, in which he said that it was with trepidation that Mr. Denniston and himself had put this play before the New Zealand public, but they were more than gratified at' its great reception, and lie thanked the public for the liberal patronage that had been accorded.
