TIIE BREMEN RIOTS. FIFTY PERSONS INJURED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Berlin, October ID. Fifty persons, including several policemen, were injured in the Bremen riots. They were due to the presence of three hundred blacklegs. The strikers were armed, and numerous shots were fired. The police used sabres against men and women in the crowd indiscriminately. STRIKE IN EGYPT. . Cairo,-. October 10. , Nationalist influences are responsible for a one-day's strike on the railway works. The majority of the rioters were a mere rabble, and the disturbance was quelled by the police and troops. THE MARKERS STRIKE. Melbourne, October 20. The Minister of Defence has ordered an enquiry into Colonel Sellheim's action in ordering artillerymen to act as markers when the others had struck.
THE ADELAIDE STRIKE. Adelaide, October 20. The boaixl appointed to enquire into the charges against Ganger Thompson did not agree. The Government has exonerated Thompson from blame and appointed him inspector in the railway service. THE BOILERMAKERS' DISPUTE. London, October 29. It is officially announced that the boilermakers have rejected the agreement. PROFOUND DISAPPOINTMENT. Received 20, 10 p.m. London, October 20. The boilermakers voted 87*50 for and IO.OTO against the acceptance of the masters' agreement. In view of the smallness of the voting it is possible the executive of the Association will order another ballot. There is profound disappointment over the decision on the Clyde and Tyneside, where many are feeling the pinch of poverty.
