PROHIBITION ORDERS
HOW THEY ARE DISOBEYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Following upon the prosecution or some, weeks ago of several persons at Lyttelton for breaches of prohibition orders, the police on Saturday night caught five young men, two of whom were prohibited. The whole five were before Mr. Bishop, S.M., to-day, who, in dealing with one, remarked it was an absolute disgrace to the community of Lyttelton that prohibition orders should be treated with, such 'contempt, and that there should be persons ready to pander to the tastes of these prohibited persons. He was not going to'waste his breath on them any longer. If accused came before him again he would deal with him under the Reformatory Institutions "Act, and would send him up to Pakatoa (the Salvation Army sanctuary) for two years for reformatory treatment. On the present charge he would be fined £5, in default one month's imprisonment. The others were fined various amounts, and one is to be committed to Pakatoa. , ■ i
