THE N.S.W. ELECTIONS.
WADE MINISTRY RESIGNS. MR. McGOWEN TO FORM A CABINET. By Cable.—Press Association.-^-Copyright Received 19, 8.5 p.m. Sydney, October 19. The Wade Ministry has resigned. Mr. McGowen (Leader of the Labor Party) has undertaken the formation of a Ministry. He was given till the end of the week to complete the task. PECULIAR SITUATION. PARTIES "TIE" ON RECOUNT. Received 20, l.lfi a.m. Sydney, October 19. A peculiar development of the political situation was reported to-night on good authority, though official confirmation is wanting. A recount of the Bingera vote gives Mr. Moore a small majority. This would mean a tie. The news came to hand after Mr. Wade had handed in his resignation to the Governor. Mr. Wade stated that if it prove correct, it will not alter the general situation. Even if a tie is established his party could not have commanded a majority of the House and the proper course to adopt was to resign and give Mr. McGowen a chance to form a Ministry without any further loss of time.
