A bomb flung at the entrance of the tiinnel to Versailles missed a passing train, but made a terrific detonation and ploughed a hole in the permanent way. The railwaymen's strike committee has decided to resume work everywhere. The north-western men have resumed work. Parisian newspapers urge the Government to turn a deaf ear to the demands for reinstatement of dismissed strikers. They recall the bad results following the reinstatement of postmen after the great postal strike.
