APPEAL COURT
THE CASE OF J. J. PATTERSON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. The Appeal Court to-day had before it a motio* to strike off the rolls J. J. Patterson, solicitor, of Dannevirke, on the ground that he had been sen* tenced to two months' imprisonment for not having kept proper books, becoming a bankrupt, and having muti- • lated a book relating to his affairs. The motion was opposed, on the ground that no professional misconduct was alleged, nor misappropriation of clients* money, and that the solicitor's business formed but a small part of his business. Decision was reserved.
