MINERS' WAGES.
DISAPPEAR IN TRANSIT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Yesterday morning some £2OO was sent hy mail in notes to pay the wagesof the men employed in the Mountain King and Handswork mines at Kuatunu. News was received to-day that the money was missing, and wires have been despatched to the manager for further particulars. It is understood that, the numbers of the notes were taken antf the letters duly registered.
