STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Perth, October 18. Referring to a recent cable about an article in The Yorkshire Observer describing the hopeless state of immigrants, the Premier. Mr. Wilson, states that he has no knowledge of immigrants leaving with broken hearts and pockets. He knows that hundreds who have been out a few years now have a competence or moderate fortune in view. The Government cannot claim to have land alongside the existing railways, but there is plenty along the projected route.
