STORM IN CUBA
MANY LIVES LOST. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Received 18, M.IO p.m. Havana, October 18. A storm swept the sea and the waves broke over the sea walls and flooded many houses. A panic followed. It is reported that many lives were lost, whilst the salvaging apparatus in connection with the raising of the warship Maine was swept away.
