The death of Mrs. limy LaWn took J place at her son's residence on the Wa- : rea road early pn Sunday morning before last. The deceased, who was sev-enty-one years of -age, resided at Tataramaika until lately, coming down here owing to ill health. Mrs. Lawn leaves a grown-up family of five boys. Two are butchers ill this district, and one a farmer, whilst the other two are farming at Oaonui. hfhe also leaves four daughters. Her husband died some years ago, The funeral took place at the Oktito cemetery on Tuesday. The local dairy company intends to continue making butter for some time. They have installed a new Alfa Laval separator at the factory, with a capacity of 770 gallons per hour, and a new turbine separator of the latest type has been installed at the Newall Road Creamery, ■ ■ -• v ; v , WAIOXGONA. Mr. Barron has leased his farm to a man in Tarata, who intends using it for store cattle and sheep. A settler of long standing in the district, who has always taken an active interest in the affairs 01 the place, Mr. Barron will be missed. Our new creamery proceeds slowly. The building and all the machinery art in working order, but the delay in making the dam is retarding matters. The whole of the water-race is completed, and the pen-stock is finished. Sand-bag-ging has commenced at the dam, and when the intake and one half of the dam are completed the creamery will be table to open without waiting for the rest of the work to be finished. A wedding took place in Waiongona last Thursday at the residence of the bride, when Miss Dora Hine was married to ilr. Henry Luke. The officiating minister was the Rev. Albert, of Ingle:w'ood. Mr. S. Hine acted as best man, and Miss G. Hine as bridesmaid. The bride and bridegroom received many gifts from their relatives and friends. Mr. Drozdowski's house was burned down just after midday to-day (Monday), lmt particulars are not available as I write. ' 1 1
