All the Spanish troops are confined to barracks pending the {Ferrer demonstrations. DEMONSTRATIONS PASS OFF QUIETLY. WARSHIPS AND MILITARY MAKE BIG DISPLAY.

Received 14, 10.25 p.m. Madrid, October 14. Warships at Barcelona made a great display, as also did the military. The Ferrer demonstrations were peaceful and orderly. Similar reports are to hand from all other centres.
