Wellington, Last Nklit. The Arbitration Court has foiwarded to Wellington its award in the .iispute between Wellington creamery and cheese factory employees and employers. The hours of work in cheese factories are not to exceed 70 hours, and in butter factories 00 hours a week. Hours of work in creameries are to be arranged between each employer and his workers. Overtime is to be paid at the rate of time and a-quarter for the first four hours and thereafter at the rate of time and a-half. Wages vary from £2 2s to £l2 10s per week, according to the number of hands emi)!oyel, «nd in addition free sleeping accommodation to be provided. Youths over the age of 1G years may be employed at the following wages:—l' 6to IS years, £1 per week; 18 to 20 years, £1 10s per week. Every worker who has worked not less than eight months during the same year for the same employer will be entitled to receive 14 days' holiday on full pay. Holidays in proportion are to be given to those who have worked for a less period. A bathroom is to be provided for the use of workers at all butter and cheese factories where two or more workers are employed. Piecework is not to be allowed.
