AN ANGRY SITTING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 13, 9 p.m. Perth, October 13. In the Assembly, the no-confidence debate ended unexpectedly, after an angry sitting. Messrs Tory, Price and Bath reiterated charges of mal-administration and denounced the Premier's alleged conservatism. The motion was defeated by 21 to 20. . Mr. Heitmann, a Labor member, was removed for referring to the Speaker in offensive terms. He refused to leave quietly and wrestled with the Sergeant-at-Arms, but eventually his colleagues pacified him. VICTORIAN TREASURER'S BUDGET. Received October 14. 1 a.m. Melbourne, October 14. In the Assembly the Treasurer delivered his Budget. Last year's receipts were £8,535,747; expenditure, £8,488,667; surplus, £47,080; railways surplus. £149,946; general revenue, deficit £102,866. The surplus is to be appropriated to the railway interest reserve fund and the railways additions and improvement fund.
