GOLF.
lIAWERA DEFEAT XGAMOTU. A team of fourteen men from the Xgamotu Golf Club journeyed to Hawera by the mail train, unci were defeated by the local club after an enjoyable game, bv 7 games to 5, the remaining two being halved. The weather in the morning was decidedly unpropitious, but cleared beautifully, and the players were favored with splendid weather during the afternoon.
