ANNUAL CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—P/e«6 Association. Dunedin, Last Night. To-night the Baptist Union held home mission demonstrations. The Rev. Alfred North (Ponsonby) presided, an' crave an address in support of ibackKnck missions. The Rev. H. B. Hughes ('Tastings) dealt with the meanings,motives and methods for carrying on home mission work. Pastor J. D. Mill" (Hamilton) urged progress as a means of increased spiritual power, and pointed out several places in New Zealand where no religious service had been held for five years. Rev. W. Hay, on behalf of the Union, presented Rev. H. B. Hughes with a Hastings' Bible dictionary for brilliant results in recent examinations.
