I Hobart, October 10. The steamer Nubeena, bound for Tasman's Peninsula from Hobart, is ashore in Frederick Henry Bay. The passengers and crew were landed safely. It is not thought likely that the vessel can be refloated. I RESTORATION OF SPEECH. Melbourne, October 10. Mrs. Held, who lost her power of speech eighteen months ago through fright, received a shqck yesterday and recovered her voice suddenly after medical remedies had failed. THE DUTCH (FLEET. A shunting accident took place at Oakleigfi, similar to the recent Ballarat accident. The engine struck a part oi a mixed train which was being shunted, and five carriages were damaged, but nobody was injured. NEW ZEALAND DOCTOR ARRESTED. Svdney, October 10. Dr. Searby, a no-license lecturer, has been arrested on a charge of forgery, under a warrant issued in New Zealand in January, 1909. He was remanded for eight days.
