NORTHERN UNION GAME. j AUCKLAND v. NELSON. j By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. The first representative match under the Northern, League rules was played here this afternoon between Auckland and Nelson, and .resulted in a win for the former by 24 points to 13. For the winners tries were scored by Asher (2), Jackson (2), Car wall and Seagar. Drunning converted three. For Nelson, James scored two tries, converting both, and Doyle 1. The visitors showed a much better knowledge of the finer points of the game than their opponents, and gave a capital exhibition of j passing. There was only a small attendance of spectators.
