The third day's races in connection with the Australian .Jockey Chili Spring meeting took place to-day. The weather after the second race was cold and showery. The attendance was large. Results:— Second Hurdle Race, of. 300 sovs; about 222y 2 miles—Woolloomooloo, 10.9, L; Diiyan, 10.7, 2; Woollara, 11.8, 3. | Seven started. The winner, with Woollaro, was prominent throughout. Dinyah joined before the last hurdle, which Woolloomooloo first negotiated. Won by two lengths, Woollara six lengths away. Grateful and Boobah fell. Time,' 4min 51% sec. Craven Plate,, of 200 sovs, w.f.a., iy 2 miles.—Parsee, 0.4, 1; Master Soult, 9.4, 2; Maltine, S.O, 3. Thirteen started. Flavinius", Lord Nolan, Prince Foote, Mailt King, Maori King and Comedy King were the first to move, Malt King, Maori King and Master Soult at once going to the front. At the mile, Maltine led Master Soult by three lengths, Comedy, Maori King and Flavinius being next in that order. At the six furlongs, Maltine was still in charge, and at the half mile was a length and a half in front of Comedy King and Master Soult, Prince Foote and Flavinius being next. Maltine led Comedy King round the turn, and was first into the straight from Master Soult, Comedy King, with Parsee closing up. Parsee joined Maltine at the half distance and won by two and a half lengths, Master Soult being a neck in front of Maltine, followed by Malt King, Flaviiiius and Maori King. The last to finish was Prince Foote and Lord Nolan. Time, 2min 7y 3 .sec. Suburban Handicap, of 500 sovs; 1 mile. —Abbey Boy, 0.7; I; Miss Flaneur, 7.l'i, 2; Grist, 8.3, 3. Sixteen started. Bright Laddie and Grist made the running to the turn. Grist was first to the straight, but Abbey put in a great run at the distance and won cleverly by a length and a half, a similar distance between second and third. Sunburnt aaid Broadsword were never prominent. Time, lmin 40sec. i Grantham Stakes, of 400 sovs; seven furlongs.—lPtah, 7.11, 1; Hartfell, 7.11, 2; Styria, 7.12, 3. Seventeen started. Zilper, with Hartfell and Sunburnt, made the running to the .turn. Ptah came away into the straight and won by two lengths from Hartfell, who beat Styria by a head. Time, lmin 40y 2 sec. Gimcrack Stakes, for two-year-olds, 500 sovs; 4% furlongs.—'Respect, I; Popinjay, 2; Lady Pamela, 3. Eleven started. Popinjay and Pamela led well into the straight, Respect coming on the outside below the Leger, and made a great finish, winning by three-fourths of a length, a neck between second and third.
