AUCKLAND'S SEASON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland. »Cri©ket Association has decided to open the season on October 15. In reference to the invitation of the Canterbury Cricket Association for an Auckland team to visit Canterbury at Christmas time it was decided that the' date was not suitable, but that a team would be seat later in the season. URENUI CLUB. (From a Correspondent.) The annual meeting of the .Urenrn Cricket dub was held in the Library last Saturday evening. The president (Mr. Halcombe) was in the chair. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit balance of £5 8s 7d. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Patron. Mr. E. Whittle; president Mt. Halcombe; vice-presidents, Messrs.. C. J. Wilson, G. Bertrand, Bleakley, R. H. Pigott and J. Bethune; committee, all members; selection committee, Messrs. Henunins, "Boss" Fuller and A. J. Thompson; delegate, C. Wilson; secretary, Mr. W. J. Wilson. It was unanimously decided to again enter a senior team for the Thursday Cup Competition, and although the team will be by no means the same class as two years ago, what the members lack- in skill will certainly be equalled in enthusiasm.
