WARRNAMBOOL ROAD RACE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Melbourne, October 2. In the Warrnambool cycle road race the placed men were Piercy, Perrett and McSweeney. Piercy (Victoria) 'had 47 minutes' start, McSweeney (Westralia) 17min., and IPerrett (New South Wales),* 45mdn. The winner's riding time was lOhr. lmin. 21sec, and the fastest tune was put up by L. Piauto (Westralia), 9hr, 30min. 46sec. The pace was won by a length and a half, the third man being only a few feet away. Twenty thousand people witnessed the finislh. The -weather threatened at the staxt, and a very strong northerly wind blew. Conditions afterwards improved. There were 355 record. Walsh »nd Neilson, the New Zealanders, I were scratched.
