An aviator named 1 Brookins sailed over Chicago sky-scrapers. He will attempt on Thursday an overland trip of 187 miles to Springfield. BEST MILITARY DIRIGIBLE. Received September 29, 12.30 a.m. London, September 29. The Times' military correspondent states that the British military airship Beta accomplished more than any other dirigible, and adds that the aeroplane is the best machine for tactical reconnaisance. He recommends the creation of a corps of airmen.
