THE CARNARVON BAY
MISSING BOAT SAFE. CASTAWAYS ALL WELL. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Hobart, September 23. The steamer Wauchope, which arrived at Bumie from King Island, reported that it had picked up the missing boat crew of the Carnarvon Bay. All were well. The boat crew state that they landed ait King Island three hours after the wreck.
CASTAWAYS' ROUGH TIME. Received September 23, 9.30 p.m. Hobart, September 23.
After, leaving .the wreck of the Carriarvon Bay the boat had a stiff three hour®' struggle with, the rough sea, eventually landing on the south-east end of King's Island. The castaways travelled through eight miles of ecTuib before they reached a habitation. They were in an exhausted condition, and were provided with clothing aind sleeping accommodation. The next day they took up their quarters at an hotel, remaining till the Wauchope took them off.
