MAGISTRATE'S COURT. . (From Our Own Correspondent.) Judgment was given for plaintiff by default in the following cases:—T W Rolston v. H. Richards, claim £1 15s and costs 6s; A. C. Nicholls v. T. Baker 9s 4d and costs 11a; Sutherland Bros, v. A. Hunt, £8 3s lOd and costs £2 3s; J. Giraham v. P. Zimmerman, £3 and costs £1 6s; P. G. Nops v. L Pattie and Co. and R. W. Bond, claim £llO and costs £5 18s; P. Q. Nops v. L. Pattie and Co. and R. W. Bond, £43 6s Bd, costs £'2 17s 6d; Whitehead and Son v. S. H. Alvis, claim £1 12s 6d, oasts 12s; George Gudgeon v. Viana Peter, claim £2 9s, costs £2 3s; King and Stibbs v. H. Autridge, claim 10s sd, coste ss.
Leslie Holland (Mr. Thompson) sued John Mynott for £l9 Bs, being balance of moneys held by defendant. After hearing plaintiff's evidence, and defendant having no defence in law, the Magistrate gave judgment for plaintiff for £l7 Bs, with costs £2 6s.
Frank Drake v. Thomas Kemp, £3 15s 2d; no appearance; ordered to pay amount forthwith, in default seven days' imprisonment in New Plymouth gaol.
B. M. Orozier- pleaded guilty to entering licensed premises during the currency of a prohibition order, and was fined 20s and costs 7s.
John Harvey pleaded guilty to drunkenness, and was convicted and ordered to pay £1 Is medical expenses. An information bv the Inspector ofFactories against Ki!' 3 and Stibbs foi failing to close their shop was dismissed.
