LOWER VALLEY MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Carterton, Last Night. The weather conditions were sunny, but a very strong wind was blowing, consequently the going was slow. The course was good and hard. Nine bookmakers were present. Results:— Hack Hurdles, 50 sovs, iy z miles.— Rosegrove 10.6, (C. Price) 1; St. Amelia 9.0, 2; Gaelic 9.12, 3. Also started: St. Rabon 9.0. Miss Hippo and Teutuatu fell and Royal Guard and Sylvia ran off. An exciting finish. Won by half a head. Time, smin 41 l-ssec. Lower Valley J. C.
