CONSPIRING TO ASSASSINATE
THE EMPEROR OF JAPAN. CONSPIRATORS ARRESTED. By Cable.—Press Association.—-Copyright < Received September 22, 9.50 p.m. Tokio, September 22. The journal HocMssimbun states that a number of Japanese have been arrested for conspiring to assassinate the Emperor while visiting a military school outside Tokio. They will be tried by a v special secret court. This is the first time in the history of Japan that a sovereign has * been threatened. The arrest of the active spirits in the allied Socialist movement confirms the report.
