ANOTHER BANQUET. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Paris, September 19. The British Chamber of Commerce here gave a banquet to Sir George Reid. Mr. Walter, the chairman, dwelt on the marvellous development of Australian resources in recent years. The Paris chamber desired to promote the interests! of the whole Empire. Sir George Reid eulogised the work of the chamber, particularly in connection with the French tariff revision and the Franco-Canadian agreement.
