Though a prohibition was issued against demonstrations in the vicinity of iFrfedburg, where the Czar is staying, the Socialists held one within five miles and denounced the Czar as a tyrant. Similar demonstrations have been held elsewhere, in which Jewish speakers participated. They regard the Czar as an anti-Semite. The Government is seriously embarrassed by these proceedings. The Norddeutsche Zejtung sternly reproves such demonstration®.
