GOOD NEWS FOR FARMERS.
WESTFIELD MANURES REDUCED IN , PRICE.
The farmer is a keep judge of values, and in nine cases out of. ten will not be tempted by an article said to be just as wood" merely becau'se it is cheap. But if there is one thiu'g that pleases him more than another, \t ( is the securing of standard lines—those. of which he has proved the worth—at lower prices than before. Our advertising columns to-day show that the well-known firm of Kempthorne Prosser antl Company, Lnnited, have given him this pleasure bv making a reduction in the prices of their justly"celebrated "Westfield" manures. These gratifying tidings show that the firm works on the most business-like lines. Sometimes when there is a very strong demand for a product the price rises, whereas with extra output the reverse should be the case. Kempthorne, Prosser and Co. look at the matter from the proper angle. Their argument is: "The farmer has for years purchased our 'Westfield' manures; he does so because they are good. The farmer gets bigger crops 'by using 'Westfield'; he could thus afford to pay more money for 'Westfield' and still have a profit. But las he purchases a larger quantity each 1 year we can put in improved machinery, i buy our raw materials cheaper by taking i a greater bulk, and thus sell him this good article, which he must have for his ■ land, at a lower price." So that this season the farmer can use more' "Westfield" while paying the same money as Jie did last year, and the additional amount of manure placed in the ground I will yield rich profits. Kempthorne. Pros«er and Co.'s reduc- : tion in the price if "Westfie'manures 'is stronger proof than ever that the farmer will "o-operate with those who co-operate with him. The firm in ques(tion lias always lrniittained a very liish | standard of efficiency in all their products, until to-day the name 'Westfield' ;is as strong as' a written guarantee. ! Naturally the farmer appreciates the ' fact that he is getting whole-hearted ser- : vice, and he reciprocates by giving his {'steady patronage. The firm in turn is ' enable to give satisfactory reductions in price, and be in a still better position to. give the farmer advice and assistance. I This is co-operation of the best type, and ' cannot fail to be of the greatest benefit to all concerned.
