VICTORIAN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. Received September 16, 1.30 a.m. ity Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright Melbourne, Last Night. The Hon. M. Scott won the State championship. Mr. Smith was o».e run-,ner-up, and Mr. Glover third. WAITARA v. CARRINGTON ROAD. Representatives of the Waitara Club journeyed to the Carrington Road links yesterday and engaged in a match with the local club, whom they defeated toy 6 games to 4. The day was ideal for golfing. Refreshments were dispensed in the pavilion by the lady members of the local club. Scores (Carrington Road being mentioned first) are as follows: W. H. Perham I, Grimstone 0; W. H.
