THE NORTH ISLAND TEAM.
Owing to Mr. D. Gallaher, of Auckland, having been unable to meet; Messrs. H. D. Thomson and A. L. Humphries, the other two selectors of the North Island team, in Wellington on Saturday, the composition of the team to play the South Island team at Christchurch on the 24th instant has not been definitely settled yet. The three selectors are communicating with each other by telegraph. It will prob-j ably be found, however, that the team 1 will be something like this: —Full-back, O'Leary (Auckland); three-quarters, Evensen and Mitchinson (Wellington), Dive (Taranaki); five-eighths, Kaipara ((Poverty Bay), M'Leod (Wellington); half, F.
