AUSTRALIAN POLITICS.
NjS.W. ELECTIONS, By Cabl«—Press Association —Copyright. Sydney, September 13. The political campaign is in full swing, and an army of candidates is busy throughout the electorates. Mr. Wade faced the Newcastle electors last night, and came in for a lot of heckling over the Coercion Aci and the imprisonment of the strike leaders, but on the whole had a fair hearing. Defending the Act, he declared that ■whether a Liberal or a Labor Government was in power, the law must prevail, even at the cost of suffering to many hearts. The No-License Party are looking ahead. Their contemplated reforms cover the lease or purchase of some hotels which they hope to close as the result of the coming poll.
