(Trow Our Own Cum^pi-inkiit.) .Stratford. L.;-t. Niu'H. At the mertingol'the lluiakania Dairy Company, Messrs. S. A. Cooding, C. 11. West and V. Frank were elected directors, and Mr. J. H. Thompson auditor. Mr. C. 11. West was re-elected chairman of directors. At the meeting of the M'akalut Dairy Company, Messrs. A. W. Lelimann and S. •Martin were elected directors, and Mr. J. 11. Thompson auditor. Mr. A. Coyne was re-elected chairman. , It is reported that Mr. J. Brannigan has disposed of his property of fourteen acres on Broadway north. It is the intention of the purchaser to cut up the property into building sites. Mr. R. Divehall has been appointed the local poundkeeper. On Thursday a well-bred yearling colt belonging to Mr. H. Stratford, of Tariki, was found dead in a paddock on Surrey road. A deep wound in the neck was the cause of death. Though eows were grazing in the paddock, the wound appears to be too clean to have been made with a horn; nor was there any trace of blood on any of the cows. Detective Boddam and Sergeant Cullen are investigating the matter. The Stratford Electrical Supply Company have just received eight new transformers.
