A FAMILY MURDERED. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Rome, September 5. A family named Donvilino, consisting •f father, mother and six children, were bossibly murdered with an axe at Pellaro, in Ualabria. It is alleged to be an act of vengeance on the part of a New York member of the Black Hand. HORRIBLE ATROCITIES. STORY OF THE CRIME. Rome, September 6. A child's shrieks aroused the people of Pellaro, which consists of a collection of ■wooden houses erected since the earthquake. The townsfolk discovered a child of five years with its "head almost severed', on the threshold and, within, a baby four months old with its head cut In two. Rovolino had been surprised while undressing. He evidently returned home at two ins the morning and found four masked murderers hiding. Rovolino's loaded rifle lay across a chair nearby. The murderers escaped. Rovolino was a well-to-do and respectble man, and lived in America for some years, where it is altered he had dealings with the Black Hand. An attempt had been made to poison his family a few days earlier.
