HOCKEY

LADIES' TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Fine weather prevailed for the fifth day of the Ladies' Championship Hockey tournament, but the games were of an uninteresting character. Auckland defeated Greymouth by 3 goals to nil, and Hawke's Bay beat West-port by 0 goals to nil, the highest score yet recorded. Wanganui beat Wellington bv 1 goal to nil, and Taranaki played a draw with Wairarapa, neither side scoring. The Otago v. Wairarapa B match ended in an easy victory for the former, by 7 goals to nil. The Nelson Association decided that each team shall meet every other team as -desired by the New Zealand Association, instead of the leading teams playing off.
