Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot. Mutton. —The market is quiet, but holders are firm as stock is moderate. There is poor local demand. Canterbury 3%d, North Island 3%d. Lamb!— The market is quiet, but firm, although late in the season. Canterbury sy a d, other than Canterbury 4%d. Beef. —The market is dull with poor local demand and large supply. New Zealand hinds 3i/4d, fores 2y>d. Butter.—The market is steady with very good demand. Danish 118s, Siberian 100s, New Zealand nominal 115s. Cheese.—There is no alteration in tlie market since last week. Hemp. —The market is quiet but rather steadier. New Zealand good fair £24, fair £2l, fair current Manila £2O, forward shipment about the same prices. The output from Manila for the week was 20.000 bales. Bradford Tops.—The market remains firm, and trade is good.
