THE POPE DISPLEASED. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Rome, September 2. Owing to students attending the University of Perugia cheering the Italian Sovereigns: on their recent visit, the Pope has closed the famous seminary, which Le Temps describes as the last refuge of Liberal Catholicism in Italy. A new college is being opened at Assisi, with professors appointed by the Vatican.
