MISTAKEN IDENTITY
A REMARKABLE CASE. By Cable.—Press 'Association.—Copyright Berth, September 3. A remarkable case of mistaken identity has occurred —the counterpart of the English Adolph Beck case, with the same surname of the victim. On August I Edwin Beck was sentenced to three months on a charge of uttering a cheque. He was able to prove that he was not the man wanted, «.nd was liberated, but was almost immediately re-arrested on a different chargfc of uttering. The second alleged offence happened while he was in gaol: He is proceeding against the informant.
