STRATFORD DAY BY DAY.

! (From Our 'Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. Messrs. D. Cuddie, director of Dairy Produce, and W. M. Singleton, assistant director, gave addresses on the subject of cow testing and the advantages of forming an association for this purpose in the Borough Council Chambers last night. The attendance, as is usually thb case in meetings of this kind, was very small, onlv thirty persons being present. |A. vote of thanks was accorded the speakers. 3s a result of the meeting a Stratford Cow-Testing Association is to bt r formed, nnd already 700 cows have been promised. Rifleir"n C. Speck is showing great form with the rifle. On Wednesday at the 500 "ards range he put on 25 consecutive bulls-eyes. The official opening of the rifle range for the season took place yesterday. In the f ootball match between the High School and the old boys yesterday, the former won by 8 points to 5. I am sorry to have to record the death of the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alf DaviJ, of Cardiff, from pneumonia. During the past month the rainfall in Stratford was 10.20 inches. The committee appointed by the A. and IP. Association have concluded their canvass of the town for special prizes, and the response has been very liberal.
